Burney Q Adams

Burney Q. Adams -WARNER ROBINS - Burney Q. Adams, 62, entered into rest on Tuesday, September 22, 2009.
     Mr. Adams was born on January 2, 1947, in Douglas, Georgia. He was a part of the first class to graduate from Northside High School in 1965, where he starred as half-back. He graduated from Georgia Southwestern and was a founding brother of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States National Guard and the Air Force Reserves as a Medic.
     Serving on the Hospital Authority, he was also a member of the Warner Robins Planning and Zoning and Warner Robins Civitan Club. For twenty years he worked with First Federal Savings and Loan and continued his career in Mortgage Banking with American Home Key. A Sunday School Teacher, he taught ChildrenÕs Church for ten years and served on the Church Financial Committee.
     He enjoyed fishing, gardening and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a devoted husband to his high school sweetheart and wife of forty years, Donna Adams, and a loving father, grandfather, brother, son and friend to many. His father, John Quincy Adams, preceded him in death..
     His memory will forever be treasured by his daughters, Lori Adams Taylor (Perry), Warner Robins; and Alison Adams Giddens (Jeff), Rome; grandchildren, Hannah Taylor, Perry Austin Taylor, Jr., Laney Taylor, Ella Taylor, Nate Giddens, Cooper Giddens, and Isaiah Giddens; brother, Jack Adams (Sue), Ivey, Georgia; sister, Bonnie Morris (Tommy), Warner Robins; brother-in-law, Richard Hicks, Jacksonville, Florida; and nieces and nephews, Morgan and Jacob Adams, and Brad and Lindy Morris.
     Visitation will be Friday, September 25, 2009, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2009, at Second Baptist Church, Reverend Mike Slade. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
