The National Conference of Standards Laboratories awarded the CGTC Metrology Program $3,000 to be awarded to qualifying Metrology student and NHS Alumni Tony Abel was there to accept it! Central Georgia Technical College offers Associate Degrees and Diplomas in Metrology, Technical Certificates of Credit in Electrical and Physical Metrology, ISO-9000 Quality Systems and a Certified Calibration Technician Certificate. These programs are available on the Macon campus or online.

Worldwide, CGTC is the only college that offers an online Metrology program. The National Conference of Standards Laboratories (NCSL) International was formed in 1961 to promote cooperative efforts for solving the common problems faced by measurement laboratories. Each year NCSLI makes funds available to assist individual students at selected post-secondary schools which provide a Measurement Science curriculum. The award is given at the discretion of NCSLI after comparing all applicant schools' efforts to provide quality graduates to industry.
