Web Content Writer / Press Release Writer NorthsideAlumni.com has immediate openings for several web content / press release writers to join our rapidly expanding Website Team.

At NorthsideAlumni.com. we are focused on delivering a local interest website, with content that graduates of Northside High School in Warner Robins will enjoy reading or using .

Position Description: These are a part-time, for personal enjoyment only positions. There is no pay involved, however we do have plans for this in the future. Your focus would be to write Web site content and press releases that should be interesting to the NorthsideAlumni.com members. No prior experience writing these type of articles is necessary.

Responsibilities

Writing blogs, articles and press releases. This includes:

  • Communicating with members via forums and e-mail.
  • Finding or creating articles that members of NorthsideAlumni.com might find interesting or entertaining.
  • Ability to write at least two content items per month.
  • Collaboration with other members of the NorthsideAlumni.com website team.
  • Minimum of five hours per week helping:
  • Approve members
  • Recruit members.
  • Promoting the website through various online channels.
  • Adding Content to the site.

Other Skills:

  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent editing, spelling and grammar.
  • Open communication style
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Familiarity with basic online tools..such as entering text into data fields.
  • A desire to learn how to perform these tasks.
  • Must have basic computer skills, and be experienced with:
    • Text editors
    • Email applications
    • Online applications such as forums, Instant Messenger, and email.
    • Experience with Web marketing would help, but is not necessary.

Experience/Education Requirements:

  • Must be a graduate, or family member of a Northside High School Alumnus
  • Must be willing to attend, at no charge to themselves… online training webinars to learn the tools used on the website.
