Maybe you've seen it, maybe you haven't... but there is a Twitter group for the Northside Alumni Website. There's alot of ways that it can be used, but primarily it's used right now to add content to the site based on those that have setup a twitter account and 'followed' the Northside Twitter. There are many tutorials out there concerning Twitter. We hope to create some links for you here that will help.
In the meanwhile, follow these steps.
- go to http://www.twitter.com and setup your account.
- Go to http://www.twitter.com/northsidealumni and 'follow' that account.
- We'll do the rest
Then you can come back here and see what the rest of the NHS Alumni is 'twittering' about.
I said there are many ways that twitter can be used. Here's a suggestion for those that want to try this.
- Request a twitter account for your graduating class (send us an email)
- We will setup nhsYourClassYear at twitter
- You can tell your classmates to 'follow' that twitter account.
- Now... everyone who is in that class can 'follow' what's going on with your class.
How does that help? Well.. .let's say that you're having a reunion and somebody has a flat tire on the way to the event. They need some help, a ride, a gas... a shoulder to cry on. All they have to do is twitter to the account and somebody may jump in to help.
Or.. what if you have an opening at work and you want to give your classmates the first opportunity to get that job. Twitter it to the account...and everyone knows about the job!
That's just two examples... I'll bet you can think of more.
